CoP: Building Adult Capacity
Thursday, February 18 | 4:00 PM EST
Session Description
Sustaining restorative practices begins with the adults who create the conditions for connection, belonging, and well-being. In this session, participants will explore how emotional intelligence and adult well-being strengthen educators’ and leaders’ capacity to understand and regulate emotions, build healthy relationships, and respond (rather than react) intentionally to the demands of their work. Through practical tools such as the Mood Meter, How We Feel app, and 3 Signature Practices, participants will consider ways to embed emotional awareness, connection, and supportive routines into everyday interactions and organizational practices. Together, we’ll move beyond a focus on individual self-care to build adult capacity and create relational and organizational conditions where both adults and students can thrive.
